What was claimed
Gudea calls itself a "storm tracker for the internet": AI studies more than 500 platforms, sees who is driving a conversation and tells companies how to head off a social media crisis before it starts.
Why it is inflated
- A number with no method. According to the CEO, the share of inauthentic activity rose from one in four items to nine in ten. No sample is named and "inauthentic" is not defined.
- Customers with no names. Only categories such as "a Fortune 50 company" are given, which cannot be checked.
- Inconsistencies. The text gives the start year as both 2021 and 2023.
- The future sold as the present. Block-level geolocation and pre-launch ad testing are only plans.
- It is a pitch. The piece grew out of a startup competition appearance, and there is no independent accuracy test.
Bottom line
Tools for tracking how information spreads are needed, but so far we see a confident presentation, not proven accuracy.
